Evidence-based nutrition coaching for endurance athletes — road, trail, ultramarathon, triathlon, road cycling, gravel biking, and cross-country skiing, from short distances to the ultra. For anyone who wants to support their body as well as possible. Not guesswork, but sound knowledge from a PhD sports nutrition scientist.
My recommendations are based on current sports nutrition science — tailored to you, your sport, and your everyday life. The goal: better performance, faster recovery, and nutrition that truly fits into your daily life.
Recommendations are based on current sports nutrition research and my own PhD in the field — not on whatever's trending.
Your training, your daily life, your body — the strategy is tailored specifically to you, not copy-pasted.
Purpose-built — from a solid foundation in your everyday nutrition, through proper fueling before and after training, to your tailored race-day fueling plan.
My approach is built for endurance sports, regardless of terrain, distance, or experience level. And even if you don't (yet) fit into one of these categories: you're very welcome here.
Elevation gain, technical terrain, long hours on your feet — this is exactly where my professional focus lies, grounded in science.
Fueling strategies for very long efforts — grounded in current sports nutrition research, tailored to the demands of ultra distances.
High pace, precise pacing, and the fear of hitting the wall at kilometer 30 — from short distances to the marathon, with the right fueling strategy for your personal best.
Swimming, cycling, running — nutrition across three disciplines.
Long rides, high energy expenditure, on-the-go fueling logistics — for both asphalt and gravel.
Endurance effort in the cold, high energy expenditure, seasonal training periodization — its own set of nutritional demands.
Prevention, recognition, and support for Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) — for sustainable performance, instead of pushing your body to its limits long-term.
Targeted training of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, with strategies to reduce GI issues during long efforts or races — so digestion never becomes your limiting factor.
When heat and altitude challenge your metabolism, we counter that with a targeted approach. Your physiology responds individually — so should your fueling plan.
Whether plant-based or dealing with allergies, celiac disease, lactose or histamine intolerance — soundly planned nutrition that covers all key macro- and micronutrients, without compromising on performance or enjoyment.
Nutrition that accounts for a woman's hormonal phases instead of ignoring them — from cycle-phase training to menopause, when hormone balance, bone health, and recovery all shift.
Realistic strategies for anyone juggling training, racing, family life, and too little sleep.
Age-appropriate nutrition guidance for young competitive athletes — supporting healthy growth, performance development, and a relaxed relationship with food.
Whether short distances or ultramarathon, road, mountain, or cross-country skiing — if you want to do right by your body and improve your performance, you're in the right place.
Sports nutrition is about more than race day: it starts in everyday life, follows your training plan, and supports you before, during, and after every session. The race-day fueling plan is a standalone building block — for everything before and after, there are dedicated offerings.
The perfect starting point if you want to know where you stand: a thorough assessment plus concrete levers for more performance — no subscription, no risk.
Your nutrition in sync with your training rhythm: we continuously adjust what you eat and drink — so your body actually turns training into performance. Not just on race day, but every day.
For competition peaks, your first ultra, or a comeback after a break — the most hands-on level of support.
Available on request as an in-person intensive weekend in the mountains.

A compact, science-based talk on the fundamentals of sports nutrition.
I'm a passionate mountain runner. That passion pairs wonderfully with my curiosity, which led me to study nutritional science and later earn my PhD in sports nutrition: how can food, or specific substances within it, influence the body and performance? I help endurance athletes structure their nutrition so it truly supports training and competition — grounded in evidence rather than trends, practical rather than theoretical.
I've been running ultramarathons and mountain races myself for over 10 years, so I know the challenges of long training sessions and race days firsthand — from road marathons to demanding trail and mountain races with plenty of elevation gain. In my free time, I'm also out on my road bike, training my two horses for competition and taking part in endurance races with them of up to 100 km, or out on cross-country skis in winter. As a family, we're also often out in nature, hiking or cycling together.
My approach combines current sports science research with nutrition that truly fits into your everyday life — including topics specific to women. As a mom of two, I also know firsthand how tightly packed everyday life between training, family, and work can be — that's why it matters to me that nutrition stays simple, practical, and of course delicious.
What excites me about my field: food can genuinely have a positive impact on the body — and that's exactly the potential I want to help you make use of, in sync with your training. Even so, food should always stay one thing above all: delicious and enjoyable. To me, good sports nutrition isn't about deprivation — it's about combining skill, science, and the joy of eating.
Direct feedback from athletes who've already worked with me.
Anna showed me how important carbs are before and after training for recovery. Since then I feel noticeably stronger — and I'm already looking forward to my next race.Sarah N. Germany · Ultramarathon
I kept having GI issues before and during races. With Anna's detective-like instinct, we figured out that part of the problem was the wrong dosage and timing of my bicarbonate. Changing the delivery form was a real game changer too.Kilian L. Germany · Triathlon
I've known Anna for almost two decades, and the way she prepares her horses for competition — nutrition included — is what convinced me to try coaching with her. Now I head into long trail runs with my friends far better prepared, with fueling that's dialed in for the trail.Eric G. USA · Trail Runner
It was like Groundhog Day: at every marathon, I'd hit the wall right on schedule at kilometer 30. With Anna's fueling strategy, I now push through to the finish. Next year: Tokyo!Maximilian K. Switzerland · Road Marathon
I'd always loved running in the mountains and figured a banana beforehand was plenty. Now that I'm racing too, it was eye-opening to learn that you don't just train your legs — you train your gut too, and that means putting enough „fuel in the tank.“Ben K. Germany · Mountain Running
My diet wasn't particularly balanced. Taking a close look at it to make sure I was getting all the right nutrients, plus a few tasty additions — I feel stronger and less tired because of it now.Elena G. Germany · Track & Field (Hurdles), Youth Athlete
